Working with older people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds

The Department of Health and Aged Care in collaboration with The Centre have developed a learning element titled ‘Working with older people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds’.

This learning element will help you:

• better communicate with CALD seniors
• define culturally inclusive care
• learn how to provide culturally inclusive care
• learn of the barriers associated with care for CALD populations
• recognize the importance of providing culturally inclusive care to older people from diverse backgrounds

This learning element takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be saved and completed at any time.
