Season’s Greetings from the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing!
What a great year 2014 has been for the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing. It was such an eventful and successful year, and we would like to thank you for being part of it!
This year saw many productive collaborations and well-attended events and training sessions all over Victoria. Some of this year’s highlights were the Shaping Inclusive Services 2014 Conference; Cultural Diversity in Ageing Leadership Initiative and Cultural Diversity in Ageing Partners Networks; Seniors Week Celebration Day and the suite of professional development workshops and training in Melbourne, Phillip Island and Apollo Bay!
Another highlight of this year was that the Manager of the Centre, Ljubica Petrov, celebrated 20 years of service at Benetas. Ljubica began working at Benetas as a Community Liaison Officer, before establishing the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing four years later. A big congratulations to Ljubica, who has worked tirelessly over two decades to ensure that the aged care sector recognises and responds to the ever-growing needs of Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse population - her passion and leadership has been an inspiration to us all at the Centre.
We would like to thank our colleagues, friends, partners, and event sponsors who have supported us during the year. Thank you for continuing to inspire and encourage us to strive for excellence in our work.
Season’s Greetings from the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing. We look forward to another fantastic year in 2015.
