The Centre's Multicultural Seniors Photography Project

The Centre collaborated with 10 senior leaders from diverse cultural, linguistic and faith backgrounds living in Victoria on its Multicultural Seniors Photography project.

The project, the idea of Lisa Tribuzio, one of The Centre's diversity consultants, aimed to capture images of seniors from culturally diverse backgrounds showcasing themes of safety, joy and belonging. It also aims to place more diverse imagery and communications within the aged care sector.

The Centre was delighted to work with Guruswamy Perumal, a Melbourne- based photographer with over 40 years global experience in photography to capture the essence and beauty of the portraits highlighting places and stories of belonging. Participants all received a framed image of their portrait which was showcased at The Centre's Cultural Diversity in Ageing Networking Breakfast in December 2024.

The images will be included in key publications and resources of The Centre and will be featured on our website.
